‘A-maze-ing’ maze!

Montréal, Quebec, Canada is a great city to visit especially during the summer time. That city really knows how to take advantage of the warm summer weather. Montréal has so many outdoor festivities and outdoor activities going on throughout the city. It’s only about a 5 1/2 hour drive from UML. Don’t forget to bring your passport, if you do visit.

Old Montréal is a section of the city along the banks of the St Lawrence River. A great place to visit, to do activities, to eat, to people watch, to veg out. You get the point.

One place in Old Montréal I recommend to visit is the Labyrinthe du Hangar 16, located near the Clock Tower. The Labyrinthe du Hangar 16 is a huge indoor maze, with obstacles and some surprises. It’s difficult to describe the obstacles and surprises because this huge maze is always changing.

There is no access for handicaps in the maze. A person has to be able to walk to do this maze. Because of the obstacles, there is some climbing involved, some sliding involved, maybe some crawling involved. There are clues to be found throughout the maze, to help with your exiting the maze. The clues are important to obtain because without the clues, you won’t be able to exit the maze, even if you get to the exit!

The maze is a good attraction for both young and old, challenging enough for both kids and adults. The maze will take over an hour to complete, maybe even 2 hours to find your way out. What an adventure!

The Labyrinthe du Hangar 16 is located in an old warehouse structure. Because the building has no heat, the maze is only a seasonal attraction, opened between May-October.

In October, around Halloween time, the Labyrinthe du Hangar 16 has some special extended evening hours where the bold and the few can attempt to complete the maze while trying to stay clear of roaming ghoulies. All this in total darkness, with only the use of a flashlight!

I tried this maze about 10 years ago (in the daytime). It was great fun, I had a good time!
